Lost a Bow Cap-aerocet 1100...

Postby LarryF » Sun Oct 18, 2009 8:00 pm

Hi Guys....
Got my Kitfox IV up and flying again after my guidewire flailure....I was only down about 3 weeks... Lucky I noticed it and took off right away...BUT....
I was out in some rough water today... and after takeoff... bouncing from wave to wave... about three waves probably... you know how fast these kitfoxes takeoff into the wind.... Anyway... my passenger... another seaplane pilot.. notices the right rubber bow bumper is missing... Where is there a source to replace????

Ok guys... anybody lose a bow cap... I have made a mold...
I can make one out of fiberglass.. backed by a hard foam... not quite as as good the original rubber...
but should work well...
willing to make it for others for a nominal cost....
