Class E airspace change to ULtralights

Postby Dave » Wed Feb 24, 2010 6:42 am

We all know the class E regs have been messed up for the last decade or so and some actually still think that you could never take a basic Ultralight over 700' which would mean no flying over towns, cities or even over flying an airfield at 500' over a 500' circuit height in class E airspace like at my place.

Well the rule now has finally changed officially. Transport finally changed it to reflect reality.

Too bad that so many newer UL pilot and instructors have been restricted from this silly "error" .

You read it ....... what i see is if you have a compass or gps and an altimeter -- class e is no problem.
